Relationship and Life Therapy:
Welcome to our space! Relationships are the connections of life and they can be really complex. They can affect your happiness and meaning in life, they can cause depression, anxiety or substance use. In this cozy office we’ll take a long look at your relationships, how they’ve impacted you and lastly we’ll create a foundation for balance you can apply to all future relationships. This is done through exercises, assessments, processing conversation and neutral feedback provided.

How Matthew works with relationships:
We start with an in depth “Relationships in Life” assessment to gather background information. Then through the lens of Relational Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems and Mindfulness, we’ll create your specialized treatment plan. In our time together you’ll learn more about how your past relationships affect you today, patterns that haven’t worked well, emotional regulation, attachment, sex concerns, communication and many other relationship in life elements.
What a session could look like
Sessions will involve a few minutes at the beginning of the meeting to review that week and if there are any concerns related to established themes and goals. We generally establish goals or treatment focuses, within the first 6 sessions. These goals can change any time and will be followed up routinely by the therapist for review to determine progress.
